Assalamualaikumm...
So many things had happened last week and I'm too occupied with my work(kononnye) sampai malas nak update this Paul Frank's Friend Blog. Haha.
Ok, we start from the Bowling Tonemen last Wednesday. Bugs in her blog dah tulis sape dapat top and least score but she didn't mention who got the 2nd highest score and unfortunately, that's ME. Pada asalnye aku bercadang nak dapat top scorer sbb aku dah pilih hadiah aper nak kasik and I LOVE that gift so much. Hehe. Aper2pun, Shalin Zulkifli(btol kan ni bowler Msia tuh) akan definitely menangis melihat 2nd highest score ini. Haha. Kalau kat Msia aku rase aku xleh nak main laa sbb aku akan tersangat concious dan kemungkinan besar semua bola aku masok longkang tp kat sini aku xkesah pulak ngan org2 keliling memandang. Pelik2. Tapi mungkin jugak sbb mase main tuh, dy wat suasana gelap cam kat atas tuh so tade sape la cam aku sangat kalau bola aku x menjatuhkan satu pin pun. Ha, that makes sense.
Pastuh, last Sunday, ISoc Dinner. Woho. RUGI SAPE TAK DATANG. Mungkin ramai yg serik nak dtg after gi Eid Dinner Isoc last time yg makan KusKus(ayark, xreti eja) and langsong tidak mengenyangkan. This time, food best, show best, kuiz susah and henna activities menarik. Kami didendangkan ngan nasyid yg dinyanyikan oleh Syakilaaaaaa! Jeli tidak dapat membuwat persembahan pd hari tersebut kerana bertugas part time as waitress. Haha. (Internal jokes, hanya mereka2 yg faham sahaja akan faham). Ikan kekek mak iloi2 pula sebok meng-henna-kan tangannyeh depan belakang yg skrg ni aku rase dah rupe cam kurap. Serious Ikan Kekek, ko patut wat corak kecik sikit, rupe cam lipan pun ade jugak aku rase. Haha. Piswoman!
What else ek? Hmm. Ha, last Tuesday, aku gi Arabic Class for Beginnner kat St Mary. Wohoho. Gi ngan Adi and Sarah.(oh, ye ke.....) Dah lamer rase nak gi, tp tade kawan. Ni first kelas laa. Cikgu dy, Siste Reefa el-Nafees from Egypt. Actually, aku ni dah diexposed ngan B. Arab since skolah rendah sbb ade skolah agame rakyat petang2 tu and mase kat TKC amek 3rd Languange - Arab. Tapi sungguh memalukan aku rase aku cam x ingat aper2. Teruk betol. Ana Antuma Antum tu aku ingatttla, tapi about 11 years of studying Arab - gone with the wind. Sedih btol.
Tapi bile datang UK, bile gi usrah, biler sedar yg Masya-Allah bagusnyeh laa kalau each and everyone of us, as a Muslim tahu Bahasa Arab sbb manual kehidupan yg Allah turunkan pd kita is in Arabic. Skang baru assie nak menyesal. Skrg baru terase nak carik ilmu yg dah di-take for granted all this while. Dulu blajar Arab ngan org melayu tanak blajar betul2, ni skang blajar Arab ngan native speaker Arab and in English pulak tu bahase perantaraannyeh, haa.. baru tahu. Brape kali brain aku kene translate Arab-English-Malay-English-Arab.
And sangat2 surprise, yang datang gi kelas tuh, BANYAK NON-MUSLIM. huhu. Mat salleh tu be exact. WHY???? Kenapa Mat Salleh sebok nak selongkar tentang bahasa Al-Quran ni tapi kita org Islam couldn't be bothered pun? Aku rase sangat malu mase tuh. Tatau nak cakap how speechless I am at that time. And at the same time, Alhamdulillah, Allah still giving me the chance to learn, although in a completely different situation. Mungkin kat sini laa manisnyeh biler kite carik sesuatu sbb kite nak, daripada yg ade depan mata and buwat2 tatahu. Same thing like, org asalnye bukan Islam, and jumpe Islam, revert to Islam, can be more pious that us yg lahir2 abah dah azan kat telinga. Manisnye nikmat iman tu kalau kita cari and kita hendak ke arah Islam daripada kite mmg dah rase selesa duduk dalam keadaan kite skarang ni. Isk. Aku pun dah tapaham aper aku tulis. Pepaham sendirik la yek.
Sister Reefa tu suruh one by one cakap, kenape ktrg dtg kelas Arabic tuh. Ok, I'll go one by one yg mane aku ingat ikot turutan tpt duduk. Ade sorng ni, name dy Sarah(English, bukan Siti Sarah cik adik kite tuh ;), first time aku tgk muke dy and care dy senyum aku mmg rase sangat muke dy cam Meg Ryan. Dah laa aku mmg suke gell mell hell Meg ryan. Okes, dah terkeluar tajuk pulak. Sarah is a teacher. Dy penah Blajar Arab mase dulu2 zaman skolah2 and skang dy just nak sambung balik blajar. Very2 sweet. Pastuh Ade sorang sister ni name Aisha, from Thailand, baru masok Islam 3 tahun. Aku x sempat nak interbiu dy hari tuh sbb sebok sangat(ntah aper yg aku sebok aku pun tatau). Reason blajar : Nak cube fahamkan Al-Quran. Then Sophea, muslim, pun reason same. Next, Kate Brown, Geologist, dy bajar sbb rase nak tahu. Pastuh Elizabeth, uwa ni nenek mmg sungguh mengkagumkan masya-Allah, aku rase dy cakap Ahlan Wasahlan sangat fluent. Tuwe. Very tuwe. Dy datang ngan Susan yg aku rase anak dy and Susan ni cam baye mak2 kite la. Reason : Nak travel tu middle east and she would like to know more than just 'I would like to have 2 cups of tea' <-- ni dy cakap.
Pastuh, Adi. Then John(English) atau name Islamnyeh Ali. Married to an Arab. Dy kate reason nak bajar sbb dy nak ikot isteri dy balik Arab so dy tamo laa nanti dok tepi jek dengar derang cakap2 dy xleh nak join. Pastuh Stephan, seorang jejaka French. Baru masok Islam x silap, name Islam, Yassir/n not really sure. Reason : Nak paham Al-Quran. Then 3 org kawan baik yg datang bersame-same, English aku rase sumeh ni, x pun European la. 3-3 amek course French and Spanish kat Uni. Reason : sorang tu sbb nak take up the challenge of learning Arabic(kan org kater Arabic is the most difficult language), sorang ni sbb dy penah keje kat Egypt and she'll be going to egypt again this Easter, lagi sorang dok sbelah aku ni aku dah x ingat tp basically they are facinated with the Language. Then me. Pastuh sister Jamilah and 3 org anak, namely Nadia, Muhammad and Abd Aziz kot. Pastuh ade lagik 3 org aku x berape ingat name.
After the class, I was very2 happy and bersyukur tak terhingge. Tak penah aku habis kelas and rase begitu hepi. Rase stress ade laa kalau balik kelas. Huhu.
Hmm.. Okes, tu je kot report aku. Aku skarang terase nak gi Egypt cam K Sheema. Hehe. Cant wait to go for the next class :)
